National Business Development Manager – Advanced Manufacturing / Precision Engineering

CVW, a leading Australian advanced manufacturing / precision engineering company with a solid reputation in the Australian manufacturing industry is seeking a National Business Development Manager. The company’s major sales focus is currently in automotive, aerospace, defence and emerging mining and renewable opportunities, but it also services diverse precision engineering applications from a wide range of manufacturing industries.

Working with the senior management and an established sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and developing the existing customer base in both precision engineering projects and high volume production contracts.

The technologies offered by the company require you to have both strong mechanical engineering skills as well as experience in leading commercial negotiations, allowing you to manage customer applications at both a technical and commercial level.  You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable introducing and presenting to senior management levels.

You will have a demonstrated background in a technical selling environment, preferably within a precision engineering or related advanced manufacturing field. Experience in the aerospace, defence and or automotive industries will be highly regarded. A technical qualification or detailed experience in a precision engineering or related field is assumed and tertiary qualifications in engineering or business would be advantageous. Experience operating within a quality assurance / management system such as ISO 9001:2000 will be an advantage.

Based in Western Sydney, the position will require frequent domestic travel and some international trips. This is an excellent role for a capable and experienced technical sales professional with a demonstrated track record of success who enjoys a strategic approach to building new business. The role is positioned within a strong management team environment and offers an attractive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
